A LITTLE RAIN DOESN'T STOP JOE NICHOLS
Nashville, TN August 27, 2007 -- A little rain isn’t going to keep Joe Nichols from performing for his fans. The artist proved that Wednesday night (Aug 22) in Rapid City, SD. Scheduled to perform at the Central State Fair, the show was cancelled due to a very heavy downpour.
When Nichols saw several hundred fans still waiting around in the rain hoping to see the artist, he and band moved it to the beer tent behind the grandstand, where they set up and performed a full set, giving those who braved the rain a special treat.
“It was a little cozy in there with me, the band and a few hundred people all hanging out under the tent,” Nichols laughed. “But that’s what it’s all about for me—the music. These people came to hear some good old country music, and by gosh, me and the band were going to deliver.”
Nichols released his brand new CD, Real Things last week (August 21) and the reviews that followed have been some of the best of the artist’s career. Many critics are calling the CD quite possibly the best country album of the year. The CD’s lead single, “Another Side of You,” is a Top 25 hit, and climbing.
